Why I Created The Louey D Experience

The Louey D Experience did not start as a blog idea or a content plan. It started as a feeling I kept having at festivals; this is where I feel most like myself. The more I traveled for events and planned my life around the music, the more it made sense to give that part of my life a real home online.

When festivals became more than just events

At some point, festivals stopped being something fun to do on a weekend and started feeling like markers in my life. I remembered years based on the events I went to, the friends I made in the crowd, and the trips I built around the music.

Flying to a different country for a festival, staying up late to chase sunrise sets, and planning trips around lineups instead of tourist attractions showed me something important. Festivals were not just parties. They were experiences that changed how I saw myself, my friendships, and the world.

From routine life to living by the beat

Outside of festivals my life looked pretty traditional for a long time. A stable job, routines, and a version of “success” that made sense on paper. At the same time, music and travel were quietly pulling me in a different direction.

I started making decisions that lined up more with who I really am. Saying yes to more trips. Planning my calendar around events I cared about. Letting myself imagine a life that felt less like checking boxes and more like moving with a rhythm that actually fit me.

“Live life by the beat” stopped being just a cute phrase. It became a way to think about my choices and how I want my days to feel. This blog is one of the clearest results of that shift.

Why I wanted to create a home for all of this

After years of chasing beats around the world, I realized I did not just want these moments to live in my camera roll or inside group chats. I wanted a place to collect the stories, the lessons, the mistakes, and the little details that actually make trips and festivals special.

The Louey D Experience is my way of putting it all in one spot. It is a space where festivals, travel, and real life can sit together. The good, the chaotic, the emotional, and the practical. I want this blog to feel like you are getting advice from a friend who has actually been there and is not afraid to tell you what really helped.

What you can expect here

Here is what you can expect as The Louey D Experience grows:

  • Festival guides that go beyond “here is the lineup” and talk about what it really feels like to be there
  • Travel itineraries that are built around events, not the other way around
  • Tips and hacks to stay comfortable, safe, and sane through long weekends of music
  • Personal stories from my own journey, and others, of reshaping life to live more by the beat

Whether you are the friend who plans their year around lineups, someone who hits a festival once in a while, or a person who just loves music from the comfort of home, this space is for you. You do not need to be at every event to live life by the beat. If music inspires your mood, your day, or the way you see the world, you are part of this experience.

Thank you for being here at the start of The Louey D Experience. This is only the beginning, and I am excited to see where the music takes us next.

If you want to follow along in real time, you can always find me on Instagram at @theloueydexperience and if there is a festival or topic you want me to write about, I would love to hear it!
